About Spain Trip Toolkit
What this is
Spain Trip Toolkit is a free, no-login set of calculators built around Spanish-specific travel logic. Spain has quirks that don't fit "generic Europe" tools: AVE has four competing operators on the same tracks, every invoice is now Verifactu-tracked since 2024, jamón ibérico has three legal grading tiers, the menú del día is a daily restaurant ritual, "sobremesa" has social rules, and the Canary Islands use a different tax system (IGIC) than the peninsula (IVA).
Who it's for
Independent travellers, families planning a Spanish itinerary, Erasmus / study abroad teachers and passengers, and anyone going beyond the resort-mall version of Grand Tour Paris-Barcelona. Also Spain (Ramen, tapas) Spanish teachers looking for cultural material.
How to use it
Each tool is a standalone page — bookmark any single one. The site doesn't track you beyond basic analytics. Tools cover transport decisions, money decisions, food choices, cultural rules, seasonal timing, and outdoor routes.
What this isn't
Not a booking site. Not a tour operator. Not a review platform. Tools tell you what to think about — for current prices, fares, permits and timetables, always confirm on the official source listed on each tool page.
Limitations
Reference data (fares, schedules, regulations) is current as of late 2025 / early 2026 and may drift. Spanish outlets (Tax Agency, AEMET, Renfe, ADIF, AENA, Turespaña) update rules and prices regularly — always verify on the source link before committing money. This toolkit does not process payments or bookings.
